Dr Pressanna Parackal currently serves in senior leadership position at the VA and University health
systems. Her husband George Saji Parackal is a Nuclear medical technologist in the Baptist system. They
have 2 children.
Pressanna has been actively involved in the activities of SUMA from the time they arrived from Dubai in
2004. As Treasurer of SUMA in 2018, she was instrumental in starting the summer Malayalam classes -
received well by the community
Professionally, Dr. Parackal has done exceptionally well and founded the San Antonio Indian Nurses
association (SAINA). This association was very actively involved with community activities during the
pandemic. She is the National Communication Chair for National Association of Indian Nurses (NAINA)
and inducted as the Membership chair for 2023-2025 term. She is also actively involved in Toastmasters
club to promote the oratory skills.

Dr. Parackal’ s proven leadership, result driven approach will take her to higher levels of operation in
any organization she is in charge.

Sabu John is a self-employed, licensed Real Estate Agent, here in the San Antonio
and Austin areas. He is an investor and new home constructor in Texas and New
Mexico. He has properties and Construction planning in New Mexico and Texas
under the self-started company My Ideal Home LLC. His Wife, Sindhu John BSN,
is currently working in the university hospital. Together they have two kids, Anna
John, a Sophomore at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Nathaniel John, a
senior at the New Mexico Military Institute.
Sabu has been involved in SUMA cultural & Malayalam classes along with other
charitable programs. Within the Malayalam classes he supported the initial stage of
introduction and planned for the classroom facilities within the St George IOC. He
likewise served as the Treasurer for the past 3 years (2019-2021) at the St George
Indian Orthodox Church and played a main role in the construction of the church
alongside it’s framework today.
Sabu John has played a pivotal role in any leadership position he is placed into and
gives his 100% to whatever her needs to do. He will do whatever it takes for the
success of SUMA.

Soosi Abraham has been a registered nurse for over 30 years and is actively involved in improving the health of our community. Soosi has been the chairperson for SAINA’s (San Antonio Indian Nurses Association) Fundraising and Charity Committee since its inception four years ago. She has been involved in charitable projects locally and internationally.

Recently, Soosi has joined the SUMA executive board as the treasurer and is excited to work alongside a wonderful team to keep our vibrant Indian traditions alive.

Soosi Abraham resides in San Antonio with her husband, three daughters, two cats and two dogs. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, badminton, and zumba.

Tony Jose Chiramal is a Banking and Insurance professional with diversified experience In India, Middle East (UAE & Qatar) and USA. Tony moved to USA In 2014 and have been an active SUMA Member since 2015. In this Second term as Secretary of Suma Tony will continue to his best in serving this amazing community association. Tony is married to Smitha who was one of the Malayalam Class Teacher in the Malayalam Class conducted by SUMA and they are blessed with three wonderful kids Kris, Kripa and Krista. Tony likes Swimming, Body Building, Badminton and Volleyball.

Sumi Arun is a IT professional who is serving San Antonio Indian and Malayalee community from 2017. 

She is actively participating various cultural events. She lives with her husband Arun and son Krishay in north west side of San Antonio. She loves painting.
